| YPTC presents.... FLAMINGO BLUES [2007 | 52 mins | Documentary] |

In July 2007 the Young Person's Theatre Company (YPTC) brought their latest production "Flamingo Blues", a film noir inspired musical, to the stage of the Unicorn Theatre, London. This 53 minute documentary, which showed intensive rehearsals, learning processes, publicity on the BBC and ITV and final week of the production; formed the core of an EPK (Electronic Press Kit) for the production which also included the trailers, production stills, dance routines and music.

Documentary put together to remember and pay tribute to Richard Freed, the namesake of "The Richard Freed Memorial Cabaret" for which it was produced and screened at in 2006. The first half of the film is made up from friends and family and those who knew him well. The second part of the film, chronicles how the cabaret event was put together. |

How will the rep cope when faced with each ridiculously inane idea? Will Wembley Stadium be built in time? Will the mooted headliners McCartney, The Stones, The Who and The Backstreet Boys show up? Will a KFC family bucket be enough to feed 300 people? And which one is Ant and which one is Dec? |
