New music video for the band "Cornershop". "Supercomputed" is a track off their latest album "Cornershop & The Double 'O' Groove Of".
Shot on a Nikon D7000 D-SLR [1080p 24fps] at 'Ali's Barbershop' in East London, it has a documentary feel as we follow the various haircuts of the clientele at the barbershop.
"The video for Cornershop’s new song “Supercomputed” (ft. Bubbley Kaur) is a portrait in hyper-defoliation—a high-speed montage of clips (no pun intended) from an East London barbershop. According to the band: “the sight of brown men having hair cuts against Bubbley Kaur’s sugar-coated female vocals, and against the usual representation of Muslim men in the media.”
Screened at the London Short Film Festival on 12/01/12
