In July 2007 the Young Person's Theatre Company (YPTC) brought their latest production "Flamingo Blues", a film noir inspired musical, to the stage of the Unicorn Theatre, London. "Flamingo Blues" is a sultry, jazz-infused murder mystery set in Chicago in the summer of 1952; with upbeat dance numbers, rich vocals and an intriguing story line in the best traditions of film noir.

The journey from rehearsals to stage was documented over 6 months with stills and film by photographer and filmmaker Daniel D Moses. The 53 minute documentary, which showed intensive rehearsals, learning processes, publicity on the BBC and ITV and final week of the production; formed the core of an EPK (Electronic Press Kit) for the production which also included the trailers, production stills, dance routines and music.

YPTC is a training theatre company for young people, based in Camden, North London, which provides professional level performance training alongside the chance to present that work before leading industry professionals.
