One of my more bizarre photography commissions in August 2012, involved photographing people dressed as Gorillas in London for The Gorilla Organisation’s publicity for “The Great Gorilla Run”, a sponsored fun run. We were granted permission to shoot on one of the London Eye pods which is something I’ve always wanted to do! One of the more impressive views at work I’ve had in a long time, the brief to was to have our Gorilla’s training and exercising in London in preparation for the run. We had 2 pods, so that we had one to shoot the other from (I’m sure that sentence makes sense!) The London Eye rotates fairly slowly, but you only have a limited amount of time to capture the excellent views from the top until the field of view is obscured by the architecture.
